Presto Plot: ------------ Presto Plot is a freely available 2D plotting tool for Win32 Platforms http://legacy.cals.cornell.edu/mbg/Shalloway_Lab_Presto.cfm The install and un-install scripts here have been written for ease of use, and tested with Windows XP. The motivation was the requirement for a quick preview utility for data files, rather than needing to load a cumbersome full analysis program when not absolutely needed. Usage: ------ Presto Plot is set as the default action for .dat files, so opening a .dat file will show the data contained within in a Presto Plot graph. To plot a single data file (containing any number of y-value columns) - Double-click (or otherwise open) the .dat file To plot multiple data files - Highlight the required files and select the `PrestoPlot(nxy)' target in the `Send To' menu. The `Send To' menu is accessible by right-clicking on a file. Installation: ------------- Run the file `install.bat'. This copies the executable to your default program files directory, creates file associations on .dat files to allow them to be opened with Presto by default. This also creates shortcuts in the Start Menu and Send To menu. Un-Installation: ---------------- Run the file `uninstall.bat' This undoes each of the individual steps undertaken in the install file.
