Becky's Climbing
Becky shares (at least some) of the climbing addiction, and we have some great times out on the crags, as the image to the right typifies. Wharncliffe hosts Puttrells Progress, an absolute classic of a severe and well worth doing, although it can be easier to climb on the inside rather than out (see right)...
The route then breaks out left, traversing on smears above a rather large gap... Pretty good effort from J.W. Puttrell who was the first to climb it (circa 1900) and still gets the heart beating if you haven't done many grit leads at the time! (2002).
Becky leads Pulcherrime VS 4b at Burbage North (right), on a nice sunny evening in May 2006. 'Friends' brought renewed confidence to take on this route...
...and that same confidence continues to grow with this recent ascent of Eric's Eliminate (easier but higher so therefore more scary...) at Stanage.
To push the boat out, we climbed Great/Bow Combination (HVS 5a ***) on Clogwyn D'ur Arddu in North Wales, which is a 500ft 5 pitch route. Lots of exposure...
