The view from my window of the Hotel Oasi on the outskirts of Cortona. The hillside just drops away from you whenever you look into the valley from Cortona; the hill is that steep. Built into an old monastery, the thick walls help keep the inside cool from the scorching heat outside. This was taken about 7:30am and the air temperature leaning out the window was easily 30 degrees!
