Hi Everyone, I’m here, honest… Sheesh! Was it really two whole years?
Quite a lot has happened: I’m married now, own my house and have had a really busy few years with work building our company to a strength where we can recruit during a time when lots of others have been going under. Oh, and I wrote up my Ph.D. thesis too.
2011 has a really positive outlook both for home and work and I’ve rejuvenated my enthusiasm for my own website, sorry it took a while.
For starters, it’s on a new server in the UK that I’ve configured myself which is a great opportunity. I’ve cherry-picked the best of the content from the old site for this one, so the following are all here:
- My popular article on setting up wireless repeating between the two Netgear access points / routers to allow a decent wireless signal to reach all corners of the house, although it’s not a system I still use
- My writeup of our little trip to Amsterdam seems to attract Google traffic for ‘Anne Frank House’ and ‘multi-storey bike park’ enough to persuade me to keep it
- A small but growing number of my best photos, arranged so I can add a whole new gallery from time to time with a proper introduction before letting the photography do the talking
- For AlpKit, the directions and map for climbers going to Burbage North
